"Mendocino Moments" highlights 25 years of photography in Mendocino, California and the surrounding area on the North Coast. Mendocino was a lumber town founded in 1858 on a peninsula jutting out into the Pacific 150 miles north of San Francisco. In 1971 the town was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. Since the 1950's Mendocino has frequently been used by film and TV producers as a stand-in for a New England village ("Murder She Wrote" and "The Summer of '42") and even as Monterey in "East of Eden". This 12" x 12" book of photographs contains forty-six pages. |
